Sannaro was jostled awake by the feeling his limbs had become several hundred pounds heavier. He opened his eyes.
MAN #1
Get up The Madam wants to see you.
Sannaro tried to move his arm to rub something from his eyes and looked down at massive shackles around his wrists. Beyond his arms, he saw that he was in a skimpy loin cloth. He looked at his shoulder and the bandages were gone.
The man slapped his injured arm.
MAN #1
I said get up. We don't want to keep the Madam waiting.
Sannaro hissed and grabbed his arm.
SANNARO
Owe, my arm's still injured. Be careful.
MAN #1
Get up and I won't hit you again.
Sannaro struggled to his feet.
SANNARO
These shackles are heavy.
MAN #1

The man opened the manual door.
Sannaro shuffled after him.
They walked past several doors to the end of the hallway.
The man opened the door and stopped.
MAN #1
Go in.
SANNARO

MAN #1
No, the Madam said only you. Get in there, now, or you'll be sore.
Sannaro stepped in and looked around.
On the inside wall was a canopy bed draped in vibrant reds. Mirrors were on the walls and the ceiling, making the room very glaring to his sensitive eyes.
The woman he'd helped earlier stood from the bed, grinned and sauntered toward him. She wore a red bathrobe.
TRISTIN

Her body shook and she fell unconscious.

ACT 2
He rolled off her and sprawled across the floor, breathing hard.
He pulled his shoulders back and yanked his arms apart. The chains jabbed painfully into his back. He pulled harder until he heard the chain links groan.
Finally, it snapped and his arms were free. He rubbed his back and sat down. He looked at his ankle shackles. They were massive five hundred pound weights with chains linking them together. He gripped each side of the shackles and pulled. After a few tries, the chain links separated.
He stood up and went to the door of her bedroom as he pulled the loincloth back onto his hips.
It was empty, so he slipped out the door and pressed himself against the wall.
He slipped down the hall to a door that led into a more common area.
He peeked around the old fashioned manual open door and saw many men walking around in loin clothes with heavy ankle shackles on their legs.
He slipped out into the room and walked across it casually.
Several men looked up to him, but quickly looked away.
He almost walked across the room before someone took a good look at him.
A man ran for him.
MAN #1
Hey, why are your shackles broken?
He ran to a plate window, launched himself through the shattering glass and rolled across the grass.
More men dressed in normal clothing whirled around and brought their guns up to fire at him.
He sprinted across the yard to the tall wall several hundred meters away. He gathered more speed and leapt for the wall.
His fingers curled around the upper edge. He did a chin-up, threw his leg over the wall and rolled over it. He dropped down to the ground and sprinted down the road.
He saw hover cars in police colors fly toward him with their lights and sirens blaring.
He fell pain explode from his side He dropped to the ground, gasping in agony. He forced himself to stand up again and sprint down the road toward the police cars.
MAN #2
Oh, fuck, police!
A police car lowered before him while the others flew on to the estate.
A policeman exited the vehicle along with Hadah and Cherna.
She walked toward him as fast as she could on her crutches and hugged him.
He grabbed her and pressed himself against her.
SANNARO

CHERNA
Your side's bleeding, San.
Sannaro looked down at his right side and saw it was slick with yellow blood. He stepped away from her to protect her from being burned by his acidic blood.
The policeman said as he opened his trunk and pulled out a blanket. He walked over to Sannaro and handed it to him.
Sannaro pulled the blanket around his shoulders and clasped it closed in front of his chest.
HADAH
San, that's a flesh wound on your side, but I think you need it treated in a hospital.
SANNARO
I agree.
He heard a harpy screech behind him and turned to see that evil woman being led to the police car in her robe.
TRISTIN
Fucking Saili! If I ever get you again, you're going to pay in agony before I kill your ass!
SANNARO

He sank down onto the road and bowed his head.
Cherna knelt down on his left side and took him around his shoulders.
SANNARO
I hated for you to feel that.
CHERNA
I did feel it, but I knew you didn't do it willingly. I felt your soul was repulsed. It was screaming I'm sorry, Cherna.
She raised his chin and kissed his lips softly.
CHERNA
There's nothing to forgive, Sannaro. Your body's been violated, but your soul's still mine.
Sannaro pressed his head against her breasts and cried until the pain in his chest eased.
Another siren blared toward them and an ambulance stopped near them.
Saili medical technicians squatted around him.
MED TECHNICIAN
Aurumna, please step back.
Cherna stood up and rejoined Hadah.
The silver man pulled Sannaro's blanket back to examine Sannaro's bleeding side.
A gold man brought gauze and a roll of bandages. They pressed the gauze against his bleeding side, then wrapped the bandages around his middle.
They helped him lay on a gurney and then they covered him with sheets.
Sannaro laid back and tried to relax.
SANNARO
See you at the hospital, Cheri.
POLICEMAN #1 (PSI V.O.)

The ambulance doors closed.
The med tech injected Catowsh into his arm and he felt himself become detached from the pain.

The tech pulled out a blanket from the cabinet and spread it over him.

We'll be at the hospital in minutes, Aurum Sannaro. Did you suffer any further injury?
SANNARO

The ambulance stopped at the Saili hospital and he was taken into a treatment room.
They lifted him into a metal treatment table and pulled the gurney away.
The doctor stepped up, pulled his sheet off and replaced it with a large metallic fiber towel they draped over his middle.
Sannaro was told to turn onto his left side.
They unwrapped his bandages and saturated the gauze with Cerlacticine. They pulled the gauze off his side and threw them into a metal lined trash bag.
The doctor washed his side, then examined it while it was still wet.
DOCTOR
A healing tent will heal this quickly. Aurum, do you have any further injuries?
SANNARO
I was orally raped. My penis was yanked and my testicles were squeezed.
The doctor picked up a hand held scanner and scanned his groin area.
DOCTOR

A special kit was brought in with a sealed wipe. The male tech put gloves on and tore open the package to the special wipe.

The tech pulled the towel away, washed Sannaro's penis and put the wipe in a zipper bag.

The tech laid the towel back over his middle and left the room.
Soon, more Techs entered with their version of the healing tent and built it over him. It was very similar to the Astrisi version but the plastic was only see-through around the face and the rest was black. It still had the red lamp on a track at the center of the tent. As soon as it shined on his side, he felt its sedative effect take hold and he slipped into sleep.

When he awakened again, he saw Cherna standing over him. The healing tent was already gone.
He smiled shyly at her.
CHERNA
Hadah's coming with some clothes for you so you can leave the hospital and we can get you home. Oh, Sanna, we've been through worse. We'll get through this.
SANNARO
I know. I'll talk with Vara and she'll help me work through my mind, while you help me become comfortable with my body again. With you, I have nothing to fear.
She pressed her hand against his cheek.
He closed his eyes and pressed his cheek harder into her palm.
SANNARO
I'm sorry for being so short with you this morning.
CHERNA
We'll talk about that later.
The door opened and Hadah entered with a stack of clothes in his hands.
HADAH
You're awake again. I brought you some clothes.
SANNARO
Fa'arata, Hadah.
Sannaro stood up and took the stack from him and dressed.
SANNARO (PSI V.O.)
Can I have my release papers? I'd like to get out of here.
NURSE (PSI V.O.)
They'll be brought to you, Aurum Sannaro.
A gold woman stepped in with an electronic clipboard. She showed him where he should sign his name, then she left again.
SANNARO
Let's get out of here.
Sannaro stepped through the door.
They guided him to the exit and took a taxi back to the space port.
They went to Hadah's shuttle and they launched for the Kumani.
Sannaro sat in his harness with his head bowed.
SANNARO
Hadah, call ahead and have Zhad meet the shuttle with ear shackles.
HADAH
Ear Shackles?
Cherna's eyes had tears in them.
SANNARO
Please, just call Zhad and tell him to bring ear shackles.
HADAH
All right.
Soon they were being lowered into the Upper Flight Deck.
As soon as Hadah released the hatch and the ramp lowered, Zhad rushed in.
Sannaro brushed his hair back to expose an ear.
Zhad carefully fit the shackle over it and clipped it into place.
Sannaro winced, but he turned his head and exposed the other ear.
Zhad slipped the other shackle over the ear and clicked it into place.
He closed his eyes until his head stopped spinning.
He looked up at Zhad and saw tears were in his eyes.
He looked down again and allowed his hair to fall into his face.
SANNARO
I want all of you to go to the hospital with me, but please don't touch me.
ZHAD
Of course.
Sannaro stood up and shakily walked down the ramp with his hair still in his eyes.
He stopped at the elevator and pressed the call button.
When the elevator came, everyone stepped in. They gave him room in the center of the elevator.
Finally, it stopped and opened up to the busy main hall of the hospital.
Again, he barely looked through his curtain of blue black hair as he walked down the hall. He turned and gratefully went into the isolation room.
Zhad followed him in and when the door closed, he took the ear shackles off.
Sannaro curled up on the bed in a tight ball.
SANNARO
Please, go get Vara.
Zhad left the room without a word although he was struggling to contain his tears.
A short time later, he heard the door sweep open and Varanani entered.
He rolled onto his back.
SANNARO
Vara, I'm going to open my shields and show you everything. I warn you, it's distressing.
VARANANI
I'm ready.
He opened his shields wide and poured out images of the whole torturous experience. His tears flowed and he sobbed deeply.
VARANANI

INT. KUMANI UPPER FLIGHT DECK
Varanani stood in the safe area as a shuttle came to rest in the shuttle parking area.
The hatch opened and Kosi lead a gold skin Saili woman to meet Varanani.

VARANANI

WANAKAYA
I was called to the hospital to see Sannaro when I was told he chose to see his own psychiatrist.

Varanani led Wanakaya to the elevator and took it to the hospital.

They stepped into Varanani's office and sat down.
VARANANI

WANAKAYA

VARANANI
You may. I'll step out now.
Varanani left the room.

Hadah stood up again.
HADAH
Cheri, I need to get back to the bridge. I need to fill out a police report to document this attack on my pilot.
CHERNA
It's okay, Hadah. You do what you must.
HADAH
I'll be back when I have anything more to report. You take care of San.

Hadah walked to the elevator and disappeared.
Cherna took her prostheses off, laid them beside her chair and curled up in a more comfortable position to wait for Sannaro to wake again.
INT. SANNARO'S HOSPITAL ROOM
Sannaro slipped from unconsciousness and opened his eyes. He sighed with relief when he was back in the dull white walls and ceiling of the hospital.
He picked up the call button and pressed it.
Zhad rushed in.
ZHAD
